Schaffhausen, Switzerland, 12 October 2026 – Ewopharma is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic collaboration with Purpose Pharma for the commercialization of Attrogy® (diflunisal) in selected Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries. The partnership aims to expand patient access to this important therapy to support the successful introduction and long-term development of Attrogy®.

Attrogy® received approval from the European Medicines Agency in July 2025 for the treatment of hereditary transthyretin-mediated amyloidosis (hATTR amyloidosis) in adult patients with stage 1 or stage 2 polyneuropathy. This disease is a severe, progressive, and potentially fatal condition that causes damage to peripheral nerves and can significantly impair patients' mobility, quality of life and independence.

Under the terms of the agreement, Ewopharma will contribute its expertise in CEE markets, as well as its established capabilities in market access, commercialization, and medical affairs. Purpose Pharma will support the collaboration with its scientific leadership and product expertise. The partnership reflects a shared ambition to support patients living with rare and progressive neurological disorders.

"We are delighted to partner with Purpose Pharma and add Attrogy® to our growing specialty care portfolio," said Reto Schaberl, Director Business Development & Specialty Pharma at Ewopharma. "The collaboration with Purpose Pharma reflects our commitment to improving access to specialized therapies for patients living with rare diseases. Attrogy is an excellent strategic fit with our neurology focus and further strengthens our position in this important therapeutic area."

Jonas Hansson, CEO of Purpose Pharma, added: “With Ewopharma, we have gained an experienced and highly respected partner with a strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe. Together, we aim to expand access to treatment options for patients living with hATTR amyloidosis.
